DescriptionA collage of three black-and-white photographs of Sandy Koufax. All three photograph are close-up, and show Koufax's pitching technique. The caption on the reverse (not shown) reads, "Close up of Sandy's technique. Here is Sandy Koufax, the Los Angeles Dodgers southpaw who three years ago suffered a circulatory ailment in his pitching hand that jeopardized his career. He's on top of the baseball world today, however, following his perfect game against the Chicago Cubs the night of Sept. 9. It was his fourth major league no-hitter. Top right, he wraps long fingers around ball. Top left and bottom are typical views a batter has in facing him." These photograph were taken sometime between 1958 and 1965. Koufax started playing for the Dodgers in 1958 and these photographs were published in 1965.
