DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax, Los Angeles Dodgers left handed pitcher, captured releasing his final pitch during his first and only perfect game on September 9, 1965 during a game against the Chicago Cubs. The Dodgers beat the Cubs 1-0 during this match up. Koufax is captured with a strained expression as the baseball has just left his hand and flies towards home plate. His left leg is picked up off the ground. Koufax is dressed in the Los Angeles Dodgers home uniform. The caption written on the back of the photograph states, "Sandy Koufax perfect game, final pitch against Chicago Cubs. 4th no-hitter Sept 9, 1965." Based on the caption and Koufax's time with the Dodgers this photograph was taken on September 9, 1965.
