DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack captured as he shows two young boys how to hold a baseball. Both of the young boys have smiles on their faces. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Old Granddad West Palm Beach, Fla.: Connie Mack, the older hurler of them all, shows Eddie Latman, 5, how to hold a baseball. Garry Hilliard (center), 3, seems more interested in what's going on out on the diamond." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on March 8, 1953.
