DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Tris Speaker in uniform. Speaker, shown from the chest up, wears a Cleveland Indians road uniform. Facing the camera, smiling, Speaker establishes eye contact. The perpendicular lines on the surface of the image are not original and indicate where the photograph is to be cropped upon publication. The white background behind Speaker exists as a further modification made for publication. Stamped on the reverse (not shown), in blue ink, are the following publication dates, "JUN 5 - 1920," "SEP 26 1920," "OCT 12 1920," "NOV 12 1920," and "SEP 2- 1923, each with the phrase "LAST TIME USED."
