He slid safely home in the third inning of the opening game yesterday, scoring from second on--[...]" On the front there are labels for "Chapman", "Hayworth", "Ruth", and "Umpire Kolls." The labels refer to Ray Chapman, Ray Hayworth, Babe Ruth and Lou Kolls. This photo was taken at the first game of a double header between the Yankees and Tigers on August 14th, 1934.
