Red Hayworth World Series Autographed catcher's mitt

DescriptionBrown leather left-handed catcher's mitt with four finger stalls and one thumb stall connected with leather laces as webbing. The glove is being held together with laces and grommets throughout. Back side of the glove has a wrist strap with a metal buckle and holes for size adjustment. Along the pinky stall is " 'Red' Hayworth" handwritten in black ink.
Bio/Historical NoteCatcher's mitt used by Red Hayworth of the St. Louis Browns during the 1944 World Series. The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the St. Louis Browns, 4-2.
