DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott and his new bride Mildred Ott standing arm in arm after coming home from their honeymoon. Ott is squinting his eyes and has a small smile on his face. Mrs. Ott has a large smile. Ott is dressed in a suit whereas Mrs. Ott is dressed a dress. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Giant Baseball star and bride return from honeymoon. Mel Ott, young star outfielder of a New York Giants, shown with his bride, the former Miss Mildred Wattingy, of New Orleans, at their home in Greta, Ia., where they returned from their honeymoon in the west. They were married Sept. 30. 11/11/30." Based on the caption, this photograph was taken in 1930.
