DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Nellie Fox and Luis Aparicio captured in a dugout. Fox is holding a pouch of chewing tobacco in his left hand and is grabbing some out of the packet with his right hand. Fox has a visible wad of chewing tobacco in his left cheek already. Aparicio, left, is smiling with his mouth wide open and is holding his hand up to receive the chewing tobacco from Fox. Aparicio is wearing his baseball glove on his left hand. A baseball bat rests on both of their left knees. Fox and Aparicio are dressed in Chicago White Sox home uniforms. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Nellie Fox, White Sox second sacker who's plug of chawin' tobacco is a trademark, playfully gives some to his double-play mate, shortstop Luis Aparicio." Based on Fox and Aparicio's uniforms and their time with the White Sox, this photograph was probably taken in 1959.
