Tony La Russa World Series jacket

DescriptionRed nylon windbreaker jacket, size large, with full zippered front and blue side panels which extend to the underarms, underside of arms and up to the shoulders. Sleeve cuffs, collar and waistband are knit. Front chest has "Cardinals" in red, white and yellow appliques with a bat and two cardinal birds sitting on either end. Interior back of the neck has a white fabric label with MLB logo, "Authentic Collection / Majestic," a sizing tag along with "10" handwritten in black ink. On this label there is a circular MLB Authentication hologram sticker. Proper right sleeve has a white embroidered "Majestic" logo near the shoulder and the proper left sleeve has "StL" in white and blue appliques near the cuff. Reverse of the jacket has an MLB logo patch at the top back of the neck. Zipper has a rectangular rubber attachment.

Bio/Historical NoteWearing this jacket during the Cardinals' five-game defeat of the Tigers in the 2006 World Series, Tony La Russa joined Sparky Anderson as the only managers to win a World Championship in both the American and National Leagues.
