DescriptionNavy blue nylon jacket with blue and white striped knit collar, waist and wrist cuffs. Front has six blue snap button closures. Front chest has "Yankees" in white appliques. "Starter" is embroidered on the proper left sleeve above the wrist cuff. There is a circular "Yankees" logo patch on the proper left sleeve. Front has two pockets, one on either side. There is an MLB logo patch on the back near the collar. Interior is lined with white nylon fabric. Interior neckline has a manufacturer label and "6" handwritten in blue ink on a circular white patch. There is an interior pocket on the proper left side with a manufacturer label.
Bio/Historical NoteJoe Torre wore this jacket throughout the 1999 World Series, as the New York Yankees defeated the Atlanta Braves in four straight games. The Game 4 victory was the club's record-tying 12th straight win in the Fall Classic and gave the Bronx Bombers their 25th World Championship.
