DescriptionOff-white western style hat, size 7 3/8, made of tightly woven Panamanian straw with a thin black woven braid around the base of the crown fastened with a gold clip engraved with the facsimile autograph of George Strait. Sides have three air holes reinforced with brass grommets. Interior has a brown leather sweatband with "Resistol / Self-Conforming / 8X Genuine Panama" stamped in gold lettering on the proper right side. There are also several labels at the rear including "Long Oval," a sizing tag and a circular holographic sticker, "Authentic Stetson." Top crown has a gold and white oval sticker, "Resistol Self Conforming Western." There is a label stuck into the sweatband on the proper left side with a barcode and manufacturer information.
Bio/Historical NoteAs a beat reporter, Wyoming native Tracy Ringolsby has covered several clubs since the 1970s, but most notably the Colorado Rockies. Ringolsby helped found Baseball America, where he remains a regular contributor. He wore this western style hat in 2005.
