DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Jimmie Foxx fishing on a boat with two friends. Shown in 3/4 profile, all three men wear dress pants, dress shirts, vests, and ties. Looking at the water, each directs their attention forward and down. Foxx, far left, sitting in a chair, leans forward, resting both elbows on each respective knee. With cigar in mouth, Foxx holds the fishing rod with both hands, resting it against the side of the boat. The man to the right, closest to the viewer, adopts an almost identical pose to that of Foxx. A third man stands between both seated men. With hands on hips, he watches the proceedings.
