DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax captured standing outside studying for his college course which he took during the off season of baseball. Koufax is looking straight ahead with a large smile on his face as he holds a couple books in his left hand and an open notebook in his right hand. A unidentified college building is captured in the background. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Sandy Koufax, Brooklyn Dodgers rookie, studied architecture this winter." A second newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Sandy Koufax, promising young pitcher of the Brooklyn Dodgers, studies architecture during the winter months, in the School of General Studies." This photograph was taken between 1955 and 1956.
