DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack captured with a small smile on his face as he poses in a sombrero and sarape, a long blanket-like shawl worn in Mexico. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "This Is Connie--In Disguise Mexico, D.F., March 4--Connie Mack, veteran pilot for the Philadelphia Athletics, relaxes by wearing Mexican hat and sarape, while the Quaker City ball players get themselves in shape for the 'play ball' signal next month.3/4/37." Based on the newspaper clipping and his time with the Athletics this photograph was taken on March 4, 1937.
