Biography"Gerald William Meals (born October 20, 1961) is an American Major League Baseball umpire. He has been a full-time MLB umpire since 1998 after serving as an MLB reserve umpire from 1992 to 1997. He worked in the 2008 NLCS between Philadelphia and Los Angeles and the All-Star Game in 2002 and 2015.
