BiographyJoe Bowman pitched for the Philadelphia Athletics (1932), New York Giants (1934), Philadelphia Phillies (1935-1936), Pittsburgh Pirates (1937-1941), Boston Red Sox (1944-1945), and the Cincinnati Reds (1945). After his playing career, Bowman served as a minor league manager and a scout for the Kansas City Athletics, Atlanta Braves, and the Baltimore Orioles.
