DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of a young boy mourning Babe Ruth. The caption (not shown) reads "Frankie Haggerty, 10, of Danvers, Mass., wipes away a tear as he gazes at Babe Ruth in his casket at Yankee Stadium, New York, Aug. 18. Frankie is the youngster Babe allowed to represent him at the funeral of Brother Gilbert, discoverer of Ruth, when Ruth was too ill to attend Brother Gilbert's funeral. Frankie wrote to 'The Babe' asking permission which was granted." A flower arrangement of a baseball is visible in the background.
