DescriptionA black-and-white 3/4 photograph of Bob Feller with Oscar Vitt. Feller, wearing a Cleveland Indians road uniform stands with his left leg on a step of the dugout. Feller, leaning forward, claps his left wrist with his right hand while resting his left forearm on his left thigh. Feller looks forward to his left in the direction indicated by Vitt. Pasted on the reverse (not shown), typed in black ink, is a caption that reads, "LAST TIPS BEFORE FELLER TAKES SENATORS MANAGER OSCAR VITT(RIGHT) GIVES BOB FELLER, CLEVELAND HURLER, LAST MINUTE HINTS AS BOB PREPARED TO TAKE MOUND AGAINST SENATORS IN WASHINGTON,D.C. MAY 4. THE SPEED DEALER OF THE BRAVES WILL OPPOSE DUTCH LEONARD,SENATORS' FLINGER OF THE BUTTERFLY BALL. ASSOCIATED PRESS PHOTO 3:40 PEST AHH 5/4/38 HG WX AB (NEG TO NY)." Stamped on the reverse (not shown), in purple ink, are four different publication dates alongside pasted newspaper clippings of the titles used for each publication. The first, "MAY 26 1939" and "Bob Feller," the second, "APR 17 1940" and "Starts With No-Hit Game," the third, "DEC 24 1940" and "Named Player of the Year," and the fourth, "JULY 8 1941" and "To Start for A(...) Stars Bo(...)." Above each date and caption is "Daily" handwritten in pencil.
