Bob Allison hitting negative
Date1959 or 1960
DescriptionA black-and-white negative of Bob Allison dressed in a Washington Senators home uniform at home plate mid-swing during a baseball game. The photograph was taken on the right side of homeplate. Allison is in his followthrough of swinging and the bat is now close to his left side. His number, "26," can be seen on the back of his jersey. The catcher is wearing a dark three quarter sleeve underneath his jersey [Boston]. Another person in a jersey has his hands on his knees and is bent forward in the grass between the third baseline and the dugout. In the background, two tier seating is full of people seated or standing with some emptier sections in the back of the bottom tier. Based on Bob Allison's time with the Washington Senators and the uniform style, this image was taken in either 1959 or 1960.
