Craig Counsell World Series shoes

DescriptionBlack leather and nylon shoes, size 9, with white manufacturer logos on both inner and outer sides. "30" is handwritten in black ink on the inner logo of each shoe. Oversize tongue flaps have "Nike" with a logo embroidered in white. Each shoe has black laces. Interior of each shoe is white. Heels have "Nike" and a logo in white. Bottom soles are white, black and purple rubber with six metal spikes.

Bio/Historical NoteShoes worn by Craig Counsell of the Florida Marlins during the 1997 World Series. Counsell scored the winning run in the 11th inning of Game 7 on October 26. Counsell had sent the game into extra innings by hitting a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 9th. The Marlins defeated the Cleveland Indians four games to three to win the 1997 World Series.
