DescriptionA full-length action color photograph of Paul Molitor batting. Molitor, shown in 3/4 profile, wears a Minnesota Twins alternate road uniform, helmet, and batting gloves. Having just made contact with the ball, about to run to first, Molitor supports his weight on his right leg while his bent left leg is raised slightly off the ground. Placing right hand over left on the grip of the bat, Molitor holds the bat waist height in front of his body, perpendicular to the ground. Molitor looks forward to a point in the distance and to the right of the camera. Captured in-game, an occupied stadium is visible in the distance. On the right sleeve of Molitor's jersey is a commemorative patch celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier. Major League teams wore this patch throughout the 1997 season.
