DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth teaching a class at the World Fair on May 31, 1939. Babe Ruth is wearing a Yankees uniform and holding a bat outstretched in front of a group of 14 unidentified children. There is a baseball hanging from a wire, presumably to practice and teach with. They are standing on a small stage and there is a sign in front that reads "Welcome/Babe Ruth/ King of em all." There are chairs in the background for an audience and it appears that there are four people watching Ruth and the children. Two unidentified people can be seen on the left but are half out of frame. Trees and bushes are visible in the background.
