Chicago Cubs versus New York Yankees scorecard

DescriptionA scorecard for a World Series game between the Chicago Cubs and the New York Yankees, game 2, September 29, 1932, at Yankee Stadium. The bi-fold scorecard has the Yankees on the top and the Cubs on the bottom. Each has a typed roster with the starting lineups handwritten in pen, as well as the scoring. The top of the Yankee card states it is the 2nd game and has the game's linescore, with the Yankees winning 5-0. The front cover states this is "Compliments of John J. Hayes, Stores for Men." Below it reads "Follow the Ball Score Card," with an illustration of a game in progress seen from the bleachers, with a woman standing and holding a scorecard. An insert shows an elderly woman watching a game on her television and scoring the game. The bottom reads "Hayes Hats, Caps, Gloves, Neckwear," with three business addresses. The back cover has further advertising for John J. Hayes and an image of boxer Tuffy Griffiths wearing a Hayes hat.
