Letter from Roxey Roach to Nelle Stewart

DescriptionA 9-page letter with envelope (not shown) from Roxey Roach to Nelle Stewart, September 26, 1910. It is handwritten on Hotel Cadillac, Detroit, Mich. letterhead, written on both sides of 5 pages. He tells her that he has a few songs and hoping they can play them together. He writes that they beat Detroit today, 10-2, and Russ Ford is a good pitcher. He thinks they can finish in second place and hoping to play the Giants. He writes that he is happy that she is kind to his children, Margaret and Jack, and someday they will need to take care of them. It is signed "Lovingly, Wilbur," his given name. At the top of the envelope it reads, "Hotel Cadillac, Detroit, Mich." The back has an oval color image of the hotel.
