DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulder, photograph of Eddie Collins. Collins is captured smiling. He is dressed in a suit with a patterned tie. The caption on the back of the photograph states, "Eddie Collins (above), Vice President of the Boston Red Sox Baseball Club, died at the Peter Bent Brigham hospital in Boston, Mass., Mar. 25. He was 63 years old. A member of Baseball's Hall of Fame, Collin's was recognized as one of the game's greatest second baseman. He started his Major League Baseball career with the Philadelphia Athletics in 1906 and was named Vice President and Treasurer and Business Manager of the BOSOX in 1933." The photograph is undated.
