DescriptionA black-and-white, head and shoulders photograph of Mel Ott captured looking directly ahead with a serious expression. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants uniform. It is indistinguishable whether the uniform is a home or road uniform. A caption on the front of the photograph (not shown) states, "New York World-Telegram and Sun." A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (also not shown) and states, "Mel Ott has been busy this season helping, from the outfield, the New York Giants' rise to the top. 9/12/36." Based on the newspaper clipping and Ott's time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1936.
