John McGraw and Miller Huggins photograph

DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of John McGraw, manager of the New York Giants, captured shaking hands with manager of the New York Yankees, Miller Huggins. Huggins is dressed in the New York Yankees road uniform whereas McGraw is dressed in a suit. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) reads, "Friends - and enemies: ...lower photo Miller Huggins and McGraw before Giant-Yankee World Series clash." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken in either 1921 or 1922 when the New York Giants and the New York Yankees faced one another in the World Series.
