DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of John McGraw, left, captured in profile shaking hands with Rogers Hornsby, right, on an unidentified baseball field. McGraw is dressed in a suit whereas Hornsby is dressed in the New York Giants road uniform. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) reads, "Photo shows manager John McGraw and captain Rogers Hornsby of the New York Giants, now off on their final tour of the west which they hope will bring them the National League..." Based on Hornsby's uniform and his time with the New York Giants this photograph was taken in 1927.
