DescriptionA 35mm film strip with black-and-white frames of Jackie Robinson fielding during his tryout in October of 1945. Robinson, wearing a Kansas City Royals barnstorming uniform, can be seen running towards his left (the right side of the frame) as a ball appears from the lower right corner of the frame. Robinson crouches down to field the incoming baseball. Based on other film strips, the location of the tryout was at Lane Stadium in San Diego, California.
