A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph (not shown) and states, "2/18-Los Angeles:Connie Mack, baseball's 'Grand Old Man', waves a tennis racquet, batter's style, to prove that be it tennis or baseball, it's all fun as far as he's concerned. Mack arrived here 2/17 on a combined business and vacation trip to discuss plans for filming his life story." Based on the newspaper clipping and additional information stamped on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was taken on February 18, 1954.
