A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Athletics' Manager As He Wages Fight For Pennant Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics are making a drive for the American League baseball pennant and are in hot pursuit of the league leading Yanks. Photo shows the latest picture of Connie Mack." Based on additional information stamped on the reverse (not shown), this photograph was probably captured in 1928.
