DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Evie Ketcham captured as she holds up an engraved silver platter that will be awarded to Connie Mack. The plate features an engraved picture of Mack and the words, "To Connie Mack America's Patriarch of Clean Sports From Citizens of Philadelphia May 17, 1941." There is also a baseball field designed on the plate. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Citizens' Gift To Connie Mack Philadelphia--Evie Ketcham displaying the 22-inch silver tray which will be presented to Connie Mack, manager of the Philadelphia Athletics, on Saturday. It is a gift of the citizens committee which is sponsoring Connie Mack Day at Shibe Park.5/15/41." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on May 15, 1941.
