DescriptionCircular silver coin with a curved shape, housed within a plastic case. One side of the coin has stitching to mimick a baseball, and "United States / of America / E. Pluribus Unum / One Dollar" in stamped lettering. Edges of the coin are scalloped and ridged. Opposite side of the coin has a depiction of a fielder's glove with "Liberty / In God We Trust / 2014" in raised lettering on the palm.
Bio/Historical NoteThe U.S. Mint released the National Baseball Hall of Fame one dollar silver coin as part of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coin Program in 2014, celebrating the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's 75th anniversary. The program included a five dollar gold coin, one dollar silver coin, and a half-dollar clad coin with the same obverse and reverse designs. Proceeds benefited the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
