DescriptionEight-point military-style hat, size 7, with a red crown, tilted up in the front, with "Dodgers" embroidered in white in the center. Also attached to the front is a white celluloid button pin with "111" in red and 'Dodgers" below in blue lettering. At the base of the red crown portion is a blue band with white piping around the entire perimeter of the hat. There is a black patent leather bill. There is a white cord running across the front above the bill with a metal embossed button on either side. These metal buttons have embossed insignia on them. There is a red painted metal grommets on either side of the crown for ventilation. Interior has a vinyl cover lining the upper crown with a small plastic liner, open on one end, for inserting an identification card. There is a small sizing tag on the underside of this plastic liner. Hat has an interior dark brown vinyl sweatband with punched holes.
Bio/Historical NoteHead usher's hat worn by the donor's father, Emil Frontera, when he worked in the position at Ebbets Field from 1945 to 1957 when the team relocated from Brooklyn to Los Angeles.
