DescriptionBlack painted wooden bat, 33 ounces, with a white "M / Marucci / Bone Rubbed" logo sticker in the center of the barrel and "Handcrafted for / Steve Pearce / SP28 Custom Cut - LDM" in white lettering near the end of the barrel. Knob end has "02/06/18 / 28 / 4 / 2^0" engraved with "13" painted in white. Barrel end tip is cupped with an MLB Authentication hologram sticker.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by 2018 World Series MVP Steve Pearce in Game 4 on October 27, 2018. Pearce hit .333 with 3 homers in the series, all in the last two games. Pearce became the first position player to win World Series MVP with 50-or-fewer regular season games for the winning team in his career by the time of the series. In Game 4, he hit the game-tying solo home run in the eighth and a 3-run double to extend Boston's lead in the 9th, becoming the third player in Red Sox history to hit a homer and log four RBI in a single World Series game along with Carl Yastrzemski (Game 2, 1967 World Series) and David Ortiz (Game 1, 2004 World Series). He finished the World Series with eight RBI, the second-most of a Red Sox player in a World Series behind only Dwight Evans (9 RBI, 1986 World Series).
