DescriptionPolyester and plastic red white and blue elbow guard, made up of three pieces. The top piece has an outer shell of red reinforced with plastic and an inner white section made of foam and padding. It has a white elastic strap that wraps around from the inside to the outside and attaches with a hook-and-loop fastener. The second section is also a red fabric outer section reinforced with plastic with an inner white section made of foam and padding. This section is rounded and fits over the elbow joint and also secures to the player with a white elastic band that attaches with a hook-and-loop fastener. There is a manufacturers logo on the outside and an "SO" logo for the players' initials. The last section comes down around the forearm and is white with a manufacturers logo on the outside with a red and blue foam inner layer. It fits inside the other two pieces, and the long stretch of red foam that fits within has a length of the toothed side of the hook-and-loop fastener, which attaches to the other two pieces. There are also two small loops of white elastic at the bottom.
Bio/Historical NoteElbow guard worn by Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim during the 2018 season. Ohtani played for the Angels as a pitcher and as a designated hitter, making both debuts within days of each other.
