The red background behind Cochrane show's a line drawing of a baseball diamond with a pitcher winding up and a batter at home plate. There is a blue banner along the bottom with a smaller image of Lou Gehrig's face and his facsimile signature reading "Lou Gehrig says..." Reverse of the card has green text, identifying the card, the player, his position (manager for the Detroit Tigers), a two paragraph biography, and manufacturer information at the bottom.
