Charlie Gehringer U.S. Navy hat

DescriptionKhaki hat with simulated grained leather bill and black band around the perimeter. There is also a gold band with a button on either side that only extends across the front of the black band. Front has a gold insignia depicting an eagle, a shield, two swords and two anchors. Underside of the bill is dark green. Interior leather sweatband is perforated on the front with "EZ Cushion" inscribed. There is a manufacturer label on the interior lid cover, "Ed White & Sons Uniforms." There is also an identification panel affixed to the interior lid cover with "Lt. Chas. L. Gehringer NAS Jacksonville, Fla." handwritten in black ink and inserted into a plastic sleeve. On the other side of the paper is "Lt. Chas. L. Gehringer USNPFS St. Mary's Calif."
