DescriptionBlack painted bat, 31 ounces, with a silver printed "Louisville Slugger" logo on the center of the barrel and "Genuine D18 4S / Tim "Rock" Raines (facsimile signature) / New York Yankees" in silver lettering near the end of the barrel. There is a thin piece of white tape wrapped around the handle just above the knob. Knob end has "Rock" handwritten in silver marker. Barrel end tip has "31" handwritten in silver marker.
Bio/Historical NoteBat used by Tim Raines of the New York Yankees to record the first of three consecutive home runs by the Yankees in the American League Division Series on September 30, 1997. The Cleveland Indians eventually defeated the Yankees in five games but the Yankees took Game 1 of the series with the help of these three consecutive home runs in the sixth inning by Tim Raines, Derek Jeter and Paul O'Neill.
