A Balk picture postcard

DescriptionA black-and-white picture postcard of an unidentified man captured with his arms around an unidentified woman as he leans in close but the woman has her hands up and is leaning away with a smile on her face, playfully keeping him at bay. The man is dressed in what appears to be a baseball uniform with a sweater over it. He is holding a baseball in his right hand and has a glove on his left. The woman is smiling. A caption on the front of the picture postcard reads, "A Balk." Written on the reverse of the postcard is "Have you ever seen the Bloomer girls play ball they played here two weeks ago Bill" The postcard is addressed to Miss Anna Byers. Based on the stamped date on the back of the picture postcard this was sent to Miss Byers in 1910.
